Manager – Battery Sales

Purpose of Job:

To contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of a business strategy that maximizes the Battery sales net profit by driving sales activities in branches and wholesale outlets. The Battery Manager will ensure that workshop employees are responsive to customer needs and will provide technical leadership to branch battery point persons on a daily basis.

Some of the main duties;

  • Work with Retail Manager and other Heads of Function to influence the creation and communication of Company Battery Strategy, business priorities and targets for the branch teams and ensures there are systems in place to enable branch managers to receive the information in a timely manner.
  • Develop a working relationship with wholesalers and other partners and operate in accordance with company policies to secure the best cost in battery services and delivery distribution when appropriate.
  • Liaise with Branch Managers on matters relating to day to day battery operations at all branches including strategic planning of resources.
  • Provide technical support to branch managers/sales and workshop teams timely and finding solutions to customer requirements and complaints.
  • Ensure maintenance of all Battery equipment and safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Train Branch Managers and staff through coaching, mentoring as required from time to time.
  • Routinely meet or communicate with Branch on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as appropriate to review progress on battery targets and results.
  • Assertively drive branches to maximize battery sales and total potential through sales best practices, training and support.
  • Generate ideas about future battery sales activities in-line with strategy while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the market place, competitors and battery sales trends.
  • Identify and optimize battery services promotional opportunities, ensuring these are coordinated through the RM as part of wider TK promotions and campaigns.
  • Communicate and promote new battery products and services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training.

  • Minimum Diploma in Sales & Marketing
  • 5 years’ experience in Retail battery management, Battery Sales Promotion and Marketing in a reputable organization.
  • Knowledge of Battery Management systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Computer literate
  • A fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
  • Must have a driving license for both manual and automatic vehicles.

Management Accountant

Tyre-King Enterprises Limited is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced, individual to fill the position of      Management Accountant.  Tyre King is one of the leading automobile tyre retailers in Zambia currently operating in fifteen (15) Tyre sales and fitment outlets including Choma, Kabwe, Kitwe, Ndola & Solwezi.

We are seeking to recruit the following professional to join our finance team.

 

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT POSITION (1):  LUSAKA  BASED – HEAD OFFICE

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the suitable candidate will have the following key responsibilities among others:

 

  • Adept at the preparation of financial statements and interpretation of financial performance reports.
  • Treasury/working capital management and demonstrate astute financial advisory competencies and achievements.
  • Prepare budgets and carry out cost accounting [training], manage payables, inventory management, investments analysis and financial modelling to achieve set performance targets.
  • Ability to apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS), facilitate external audits, Work towards a clean and unqualified audit report.
  • Review reports and analyze projections of sales, profit and cash flow against actual figures, budgeted expenses and final totals.
  • Prepare monthly management reports for timely submission to management for review.
  • Prepare monthly / quarterly operational reports for management on income and expenditure.
  • Prepare annual operating budget and capital budget.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control systems and procedures to minimize loss of revenue.

 

Key Qualifications and Competencies 

 

  • Must have full CIMA , ACCA or CA Zambia and be a member of ZICA.
  • Must have a minimum of seven (7) years experience of which at least three (3) years experience handling similar responsibilities/position.
  • Must have evidence of strong financial reporting, budgeting and cost accounting background with practical experience in payables management, inventory management.
  • Must have good MS excel / financial modelling skills.
  • Must have sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS).
  • Must have operating knowledge in NAVISION or similar Accounting packages.
  • IT proficient (Good knowledge of MS Office packages, databases and Microsoft Dynamics Environment).
  • Commercial awareness with a good understanding of how an organization works and manages resources.
  • Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way.
  • Must have Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A lively and enquiring mind with a logical approach to work, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have good Leadership and Organisational skills with the ability to work in a team under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision and able to deliver on key accountabilities.

IT Officer

OBJECTIVE OF THIS ROLE

The IT Officer will be responsible for the implementation and operations of all technology infrastructure which includes Head Office Data centre and Server services, Branch Offices Infrastructure, Wide Area Network Infrastructure, ERP system, telephony, service monitoring, user support/help desk, Workstation/thin-client management, Storage and related software. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of all IT systems and infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to the Directors, the suitable candidate will have the following key responsibilities among others:
  • Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Provide high levels of customer service as it pertains to enterprise infrastructure.
  • Plan, design, and manage infrastructure technologies that can support complex and heterogeneous corporate data and voice infrastructure.
  • Analyse department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions
  • Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks/systems.
  • Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions.
  • Continuously analyse current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analysing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs.
  • Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain data backups.
  • Create and document proper installation and configuration procedures.
  • Oversee deployment of systems and network integration in association with partner clients, business partners, suppliers and subsidiaries.
  • Review IT policies and communicate to staff as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Diploma in technology or computer science. A Degree will be an added advantage
  • 3+ years experience in IT Operations and Management.
  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, MS Dynamics, Linux (Ubuntu or Centos), Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
  • Experienced with managing Networked branches/remote Offices.
  • In addition to being a team player, you must possess analytical, leadership, and organisational skills (i.e., meeting deadlines).
  • Extensive Radio Network Optimization expertise across GSM / UMTS and LTE will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and related technologies, Cisco-based network communications technology, High availability and disaster recovery architecture, communication and related technologies
  • Experience in leading overall infrastructure for a complex organisation and network including branch setup, VLAN setup for regulatory requirements, managing data protection, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking
  • Professional certifications (Microsoft Certified professional, ITIL, CCNA, N+ or A+)
  • Must be a member of the Information & Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ).

Lead, direct and manage the day-to-day Human Resources and Administrative activities for Tyreking. The department provide oversight and guidance to the development and monitoring of processes related to recruitment and retention, compliance, compensation, benefits, training and development; as well as oversee administrative functions.

Senior Human Resource Officer

Ensure that employment practices, compensation, and Tyre King Policies and local labor laws, and implement Human Resources policies for staff in accordance with Tyre King Values and policies. Manage performance reviews twice per year and management of non-performers. Facilitate performance review feedback letters to staff and annual performance increment/bonus in writing. Work with recruiting line managers on applicant sourcing strategies. Coordinate all company staff recruitments and departmental workforce requirements. Ensure that all job descriptions are reviewed and updated as and when required. Ensure maintenance of compensation and benefit and staf records. Coordinate salary & budget planning for all staf with Head of HR. Manage employee attendance: annual leave plans, processing leave applications, and timekeeping, statutory leave. Compile required HR Monthly reports. Support staff in the Capacity Building and Training on skills profiing, auditing and identification of specific capacity building and trailing needs. Facilitate implementation of orientation/training of both new and old employees. Ensure fire safety compliance, training of fire marshals, fire drills, first aiders and first aid compliance in all locations. Manage employee disciplinary process.

Candidate must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or Degree in Social Sciences. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience heading a Human Resources and Administration dept. Computer literate and must be a fully paid-up member ot ZIHRM (required).
